Hey everyone! Welcome! I’m Stephanie, and we’re all here because I found a thing that I like, I think I’m pretty decent at it, and I actually make a little money at it. If that’s something you’d like as well, then read on!
That “thing” is audiobook narrating. It started in college from my love of personal finance. My dad subscribes to a couple wealth newsletters and would forward me ones he thought I’d enjoy. One article was about passive income streams.Â
Whew, is it warm in here or is it just me? “Passive income” is what my husband whispers in my ear on cold nights.
For those of you that are unfamiliar, passive income is money you can make that allows you to keep getting paid with minimal work. This particular newsletter, (The Palm Beach Letter, I believe) had requirements that these passive income streams be:
1. Easy to start with a full time job
2. Be started for less than $500
3. And be able to generate real supplemental income
Narrating audiobooks was on that list. I read the article and thought it sounded great. It took me another few years to finally spend $50, give it a try, love it, get my dad hooked too, and for us now to both narrate audiobooks on the side of our full time jobs.

My goal now is to grow my audiobook revenue enough that I can quit my full time job and just narrate. I determined I will be ready to do that when I’m making $2,000/mo from my narrating.
