Seven years, two houses, one dog, two kids,
Two states, six jobs, countless mistakes,
And unlimited amounts of love and laughs
And doing whatever it takes
I know the world is scary right now
And we don’t know what tomorrow will bring,
But I promise you all the same things I vowed
The day you gave me this ring:
In sickness or health. In good times or bad
In capitalism or fascist regimes.
…Those were definitely in the vows right?
And something about always sharing memes?
Whatever they were, I’ll promise again that,
No matter what the world is bringing,
We will eat sushi and make fun of our kids
And have hobbies and always be singing.
Because I love our life, our children, our dreams.
I’m always excited for the next phase.
I’m having fun doing options with you
(as I do with everything these days),
And as hardships come, over our next 7 years
And we want to pull out our hairs,
Let’s remember our motto, as we hold each other close:
“Work harder because nobody cares”
